Common Assessment Standard

Hoist Hire Services is proud to have attained the Constructionline Gold Membership with now includes the Common Assessment Standard.

The new standard championed by Build UK and the Civil Engineering Association (CECA) has been long in development with its aims aligned with the Constructionline ethos of saving Suppliers time and most importantly money in the prequalification process.  The initiative is being overseen by an Interim Cross-Industry Body consisting of experts from organisations across the sector, including public and private sector clients, contractors and trade associations.

Safe Systems of Work in Procurement

Hoist Hire Services has attained Acclaim accreditation with the Safety Schemes In Procurement.

All ‘SSIP member-assessed’ suppliers have shown they meet a basic standard for health and safety capability, which is recognised across industry, commerce and the public sectors. Buyer specification of ‘SSIP member-assessed’ suppliers is the procurement route preferred by many suppliers, as it optimises savings and reduces waste, for both buyers and suppliers.

Safe Contractor

Alcumus SafeContractor is the largest Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) provider to hold UKAS accreditation.

Organisations must demonstrate they can manage impartiality and conflicts of interest while also proving their technical expertise when it comes to people, inspection processes, and equipment.

Builder's Profile

Builder’s Profile is an open-access Common Database service providing compliance and PQQ information to the construction industry.

Their secure Common Database enables subcontractors and suppliers to easily maintain and share information. For main contractors and clients it provides all the information, documents and tools required to manage a supply chain no matter how large or small.

The construction industry depends upon its subcontractors with most Private Sector companies and all Public Sector concerns requiring formal pre-qualification. This has meant a different PQQ question set from virtually every main contractor.

The Builder’s Profile addresses the costs, complexities and communication overheads of multiple PQQs. Subscribers use a common database, the construction-industry standard that also integrates with and complements any: Main Contractor, Audit Partner or Industry Procurement & Supply Chain Management service.
