Thorough Examinations are completed for every hoist we supply before hand over to site as required by Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER).
Independent Thorough Examination
The HSE and Build UK Companies have issued strongly worded guidance notes regarding installations of Tower Cranes and Hoisting Plant. In summary, these recommend that an ‘Independent Inspection’ of the Hoist is carried out post install/pre-handover. This is done by a competent person not directly responsible for the actual installation (i.e. he checks the Hoist Installation).
You are not obliged to use us, nor is it a Regulation to practice this, but, so far as we have experienced over the recent years, many contractors have a preference for this being undertaken, as part of their procedures.
