Familiarisation and Training

Hoist User Familiarisation

‘Hoist User Familiarisation’ is completed on site and is Hoist specific and is offered by us as part of the handover process for hired Hoists to demonstrate the safe method of operation of the Hoist in its installed configuration. The ‘Hoist User Familiarisation’ process takes approximately 20 – 30 mins with no more than 3 people to be Familiarised at a time.  We also provide copy of bullet point notes relating to our ‘Familiarisation’.

Hoist Operator Training

This is a one day training (certified) course. There are 3 main modules for which training is supplied: Rack and Pinion Goods Hoist, Rack and Pinion Passenger Hoist and Transport Platform.  For the module to be completed successfully, the assessor must be fully satisfied each trainee is able to safely operate the Hoist(s). Subject to successfully completing this course, respective Certification is issued through SSG Training & Consultancy, quantifying that they have attended and passed the course. This Training, when applied with a dedicated Hoist operator, by nature will minimise risk of mis/incorrect use with resulting Hoist stoppages/downtime.
